Founder Director, Brian Booth, has several years of experience in the hospitality and leisure industry. Brian has recently given up his award winning restaurant in Faversham, Kent after 20 years. Having decided he wanted to move into another side of the hospitality scene and after some suggestions from his customers, Brian set up his new venture ‘Awaydays’.

In his earlier days, as a trained Chef Patissier, he had the pleasure of making cakes and gateaux’s for the Late Queen Mother and also for Elizabeth Taylor’s birthday in the 1980’s.

He maintains that customer satisfaction takes top priority when dealing with the public and intends to pass on his high standard of service to all Awaydays clients.

Louis Booth, has recently joined the Awaydays team. Although currently living in Australia, he

spent many years in Italy and his experinces are becoming useful when looking after groups in Italy. Speaking English, Italian and Spanish helps when dealing with the odd situation when it appears. His main job is travelling around the world for a well known, and respected, University in Melbourne, Australia recruiting students.

Rachel Holliday has been travelling all her life! Her father worked for an airline and therefore she has travelled the world from a young age.

She has been working for Awaydays for the past few years, initially doing day trips and now taking on many of the short breaks abroad.

Although she does not have one outright favourite destination, she is particularly keen on Turkey, having travelled there many times and bought property in the country.

Rachel also works part time at Leeds Castle delivering staff training there on subjects such as Customer Service, a role that compliments the Awaydays work very well. And as you can see, she also has the right name for working at a travel agency!

Awaydays started in 2012, when Brian started taking his restaurant clients away on trips and has developed into a company specialising in day trips, theatre breaks and short stay holidays
