We depart Faversham morning and take the 2 ½ drive, not including comfort stops to Stamford, Lincolnshire. Times to explore this idyllic town and make our way to our 3 night stop. The Crown Hotel.

After breakfast we visit Burghley House. Burghley House is a grand sixteenth-century English country house. It is a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, built and still lived in by the Cecil family. The exterior largely retains its Elizabethan appearance, but most of the interiors date from remodelling’s before 1800. Its park was laid out by Capability Brown
