Enjoy a holiday with a difference! Learn how to cook local, classic Spanish dishes with a professionally trained chef in a small private group, kitchen above a fabulous food market , two half days.
A gourmet tapas meal included.
Visit Jerez to 2 sherry bodegas and watch an authentic Flamenco show nearby.What to expect and is included:

Thursday:
Depart in the morning by minibus from Faversham to Gatwick Airport. Our flight departs afternoon. One Hand Luggage and One bag in Hold allowance weighing no more than 20kgs. Private hotel transfer from airport to Hotel. 5 nights in hotel in the old part of town, just minutes walk from The Cathedral and Alcazar. Close by to bars, restaurants and boutiques. Accommodation with breakfast with No single room supplement, Awaydays representative happy to escort you to nearby restaurant for evening meal.
Friday:
After breakfast we walk to nearby cookery school for the first of two private cookery lessons for our group. Today we will learn how to make traditional, local Tapas dishes. All ingredients, utensils and aprons will be provided. After our 3 hr hands on lesson we sit down as a group to enjoy what we have just cooked. Each class is under a professionally trained English speaking chef. You will learn about methods, techniques and presentation, Spanish style Afternoon free. Meet up evening for group tapas meal in a contempory tapas restaurant (included).
Saturday :
Free day to explore this fabulous town. A must see is the Alcazar Palace. Spaning 3 centuries of architecture from 11th to 13th. Awaydays thinks this much more impressive than the better known Alhambra Palace in Granada. The Alcazar over looks the impressive Cathedral with its high Bell Tower. Feeling energetic you can walk up to the top, no steps, just ramps for a breath taking view of Seville. Or maybe a gentle horse and carriage ride around the town. So many things to do. Meet up evening for group meal (optional, own costs)
Sunday:
After breakfast we travel by minibus in our private group to Jerez, the famous sherry producing region. We visit two sherry bodega with a break for lunch (not included) in between. We will get a chance to hear how sherry is made and of course the all-important sherry tasting! Free time in Jerez. Back early evening
Monday:
After Breakfast the second of our cookery classes . This time we will learn how to prepare some local dishes, typical of the area. You will learn to make a 3 course meal, and of course plenty of tastings. Meet up 5.30pm. Cocktails then Evening Flamenco Show included starting at 7pm.
Tuesday:
Free time in city before we depart to airport late afternoon. All transfers back to Faversham .
