Based in Bowness-on- Windermere for 5 night.

Enjoy a fabulous 5 nights in Elim House  located in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Cumbria Region, 350 yards from World of Beatrix Potter.  You will find a kettle in the room. All rooms include an en-suite bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer.

Bring your paints, perfect place to relax and paint or bring a book or 2!

 Transport from Faversham to Windermere in Minibus.

Overnight stop in The Harboro Hotel, Melton Mowbray with breakfast.

Visits to Levens Hall, Beatrix Potter and Doves Cottage, Blackwell –The Arts & Craft House and the Motor Museum.

 

Overnight stop on the journey home stopping at Diglis House Hotel, Worcester with breakfast.

ITINERARY all trips included:

Sunday

Leave Faversham and drive , with comfort stops to our overnight stop in Melton Mowbray.travel to Windermere with stops.

Monday

After breakast included we check out , some free time in tow leaving apprx 1.00pm and drive the remaining journey to Windermere.

Tuesday

After breakfast we will visit The World Of Beatrix Potter . With in walking distance. One of the most popular things to do in Windermere for children is a visit to the World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness. Here you’ll find modern displays of the favourite characters, storytelling, extensive Potter themed gift shop and restaurant.  Afternoon to Lakeland Motor Museum. The all-weather Windermere visitor attraction holds a fascinating collection of 30,000 exhibits, including classic cars, motorbikes, bicycles, pedal cars & caravans and a display on the record-breaking Campbell family .

Wednesday

Today we visit Levens Hall in Kendall. Levens Hall is a magnificent Elizabethan mansion built around a 13th Century pele tower, which was expanded and rebuilt towards the end of the 16th Century. The world-famous award winning gardens were laid out in 1694. The topiary, beech hedges and colourful seasonal beds create a stunning visual impact. The topiary garden has over 100 specimens including huge abstract shapes, pyramids and columns reminiscent of monstrous chess men. Levens Hall’s topiary is the oldest in the world and some shrubs are over 300 years old.

 Friday

Today we will visit Dove Cottage. A must see Windermere area attraction for Wordsworth fans. Dove Cottage was Wordsworth’s home for 5 years and the adjoining Museum & Jerwood Centre holds the world’s greatest collection of manuscripts, books and paintings relating to British Romanticism.

Tonight stay in and watch a film with snack available.

 

Saturday

After breakfast we check out and drive to Worcester. Leaving apprx 11.00am.  Check into our overnight hotel.

 

Sunday

Depart home to Faversham.  Arriving home apprx 6pm
