Montacute House is a late Elizabethan mansion in MontacuteSouth Somerset, England. An example of English architecture created during a period that was moving from the medieval Gothic to the more classically-inspired Renaissance style, Montacute is one of the few prodigy houses to have survived almost unchanged from the Elizabethan era .

Our 3 night stay will be in the village of Montacute staying in The Kings Arms.

The Kings Arms is an 18th Century Inn located in the picturesque village of Montacute near to the stately home Montacute House, used for filming ‘Sense and Sensibility’. Visit Tuesday afternoon after checking into Hotel. Tintinhull Garden is described as ‘one of the most harmonious small gardens in Britain’.
What this means is there are a number of smaller gardens such as the Kitchen Garden, Pool Garden, Fountain Garden, Middle Garden and Eagle Court where stone eagle sculpture keep an eye on things! And the Arboretum is a secluded are where you can have a picnic or go for a walk .

All day spent in Montacute House and Gardens

Thursday visit Lytes Cary, a manor house with associated chapel and gardens near Charlton Mackrell and Somerton in SomersetEngland. The property, owned by the National Trust, has parts dating to the 14th century, with other sections dating to the 15th, 16th, 18th, and 20th centuries. “Yet all parts blend to perfection with one another and with the gentle sunny landscape that surrounds them .
