In  the  South West Of England Gloucester lies on the  River Severn,  between the Cotswolds to the east and the  Forest Of Dean to the west.

Explore Gloucester, and you’ll see why it’s praised for its historic architecture. You can visit Gloucester Cathedral with its stunning fan vaulting and stained glass, or explore Llanthony Secunda Priory. Wander to the dock yard, all rich in history.

Includes day trip to nearby Cheltenham and Painswick Rococo Garden.

Friday day in Cheltenham.  Also a visit to Painswick Rococo Gardens. Designed in the 1740s as a pleasure garden for holding intimate garden parties, this hidden valley is now the country’s only surviving complete rococo garden.

Depart Sunday morning and take gentle drive back to Faversham.
